South African National Bodybuilding IFBB 2017.

When I say my tongue was caught in my throat last night, I am NOT kidding. Last night was truly one of the toughest and most intense lineups Jared Pieters has EVER stood in.

Monsters came lurking out from the shadows that we did not expect, and to say they garnered our admiration is an understatement. Jared placed 5th in a lineup of 8 utter monsters! A placing well earned and deserved. The quality of this National championship was quite something else.

It’s always the intention to go for first place, most certainly. But the road is never smooth, and neither is it short. If you don’t expect this, you won’t last in this sport. Needless to say we are here to learn from our seniors and continue to better ourselves. Jared held his own against competitors 10 to 17 years his senior last night, and bettered his placing and condition from last year. The muscle maturity on these guys is something that for us will take time, and we are here to stay and put that time in. Never EVER quit team!

To our family, friends and clients who literally came out of the blue and sponsored us as well as lended your support to us, I have to say we did not expect the generosity we received. We are indeed blessed. Jared is truly grateful to you all and will update everyone once we are home safe.

To our friends who also placed and competed last night, you earned that accolade. To have stood on stage with the calibre of athlete we saw last night is truly an achievement. Someone put something in the water I reckon¬†ūüėā

South African athletes are turning up the heat, and that’s the way it should be!

Feedback from Jared Pieters about SA Champs 2017

So the moment has come and gone & SA Champs 2017 will be remembered as one of the best competitions that I have ever entered. Standing amongst some of the best athletes I’ve ever seen and conditioning that came from another planet was a privelege for me to be amongst the best of the best.

I placed 5th amongst the best of the best and held my own against athletes who have been competing for over 10 years. I know that these guys brought some crazy muscle maturity due to how long they have been competing. I know with time I will bring a package that I will be proud of.

I want to give a big thank you to the following people for your support and generosity and sponsorship to help me get to SA Champs:

Michelle Haas¬†, Anthony McCleary,¬†Lance Deysel,¬†Garth Michael Gibbons,¬†Sheila Micaela Courtney Volsun, my parents, my inlaws¬†Nivi Jagesur¬†and¬†Jemmy Jagesur. Your contribution went along way and I sincerely am grateful for all the help you guys helped towards this competition. To the big brother bear that I have¬†Lionel W Phillips¬†and¬†Debbie Zoeker¬†I can’t thank you guys enough for your support and to you Lionel for what you have done for me I can’t thank you enough. Let’s own this off season and lift some heavy ass weight!!

And lastly a big big BIG thank you to my one and only¬†Chennel Jagesur. Baby I can’t thank you enough for everything you have done for me during this prep. You have monitored me day in and day out, made sure each calculation regarding my nutrition was on point. I know from this competition we have a lot of awesome work to do over the next year and I couldn’t ask for anyone better to be guiding me going forward. Sweetheart you are amazing in so many ways and I want you to know just how much I appreciate your support through everything. I love you with all my heart‚̧

Time to regroup, enjoy an awesome holiday and come back with an even bigger hunger for overall growth and development.

Back to the shadows…
